REVIEW: Koelf Ruby Bulgarian Rose Eye Patches

Hey guys! Today I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts about the Ruby Bulgarian Rose Eye Patches which was sent to me by BBCosmetic!

We all have those days where our eyes need some extra TLC. Those bags we have just keep piling up whether it’s because of work, school or any bouts of life and we lose our beauty sleep. I know I have a lot of those nights! So I do rely on eye patches more often. I’ve put these eye patches to the test and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me post about this quite a bit.

Packaging:

I seriously can’t get over how cute the packaging is! It comes in a pink jar with a very easy twist on and off top. I regret tossing out the box, by accident, because I can’t do the box justice when it comes to describing it! Did you also know that if you look closely, you can see what the company’s slogan is? Koelf is “The eyepatches of elves.” Seriously.. Too adorable! When you open the box, you will see that this comes with a clear spatula for hygienic purposes. Since this product applies close to my eyes, I prefer to use the spatula to easily lift off the eye patches from the stack.

This packaging of eye patches comes with 60 pieces. So this is for 30 uses, which honestly is not a lot. I need to get a back up of this because I’m scared of running out!

Scent:

I’m usually sensitive when it comes to products having an overwhelming scent. At first, I hesitated on opening it, but thankfully I had the courage and popped it open! The scent is heavenly! I kid you not. It smells like roses! Ok, more like rose water. My point it, I love how the scent isn’t anything artificial and that it is nowhere near overwhelming. I find myself taking a huge whiff before closing the jar.

Texture:

These are hydrogel eye patches. The texture of it is very smooth and can sometimes even be slippery during application. They’re pink in color which makes it even more inviting. If you look closely, you can even see some speckles from it. By the looks of it, they’re gold speckles. How fancy!

Once you applied it, it stays on nicely and I’ve not had any troubles of it moving around. Honestly, I’ve experienced that with other eye patches, but thankfully this didn’t give me the same problem. 🙂

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Glycerin, Calcium Chloride, Butylene Glycol, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Xanthan Gum, Damask Rose Water (1%), Hyrdoxyethylcellulose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethanol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide, Ruby Powder (0.00001%), Disodium EDTA, Gold Extract, Green Tea Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Wormwood Extract, Yuzu Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Bambusa Textilis Stem Extract, Pinus Palustrius Leaf Extract, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Fragrance.

Summary:

These eyepatches are my holy grail! I’ve tried a couple from different brands and those have irritated my skin. I was thinking it’d be the same for this, but nope! These make me feel relaxed and the cooling feeling this gives me is just amazing! As I said in the beginning, I tend to rely on eye patches whenever my eyes feel extremely tired. I’m not gonna lie, I wear these while driving to school! It makes my eyes feel refreshed and the luggages I carry under my eyes are less puffier. The scent is where I feel like some would not like. It can get overwhelming especially if you’re sensitive to scents. I usually am, but I find this just the right amount of scent. Now, if you’re a huge fan of Rose or Rose Water scents, this is something that you must have in your stash! Have you encountered eye patches before where it just stung to the point where it irritated your eyes? I know I have and this is why I say that this is my holy grail. It does the job well with terrific results!

Where to get it?

REVIEW: Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel

I became curious about this peeling gel after seeing it on Althea Korea. This is something that I rarely see on other KBeauty fans out there and most of them are out in Asia. A little background, Althea Korea only used to ship in some parts of Asia. I believe they started shipping around the world for a month or two? Don’t quote me on that, that’s just my estimate so I may be wrong. We all know that peeling can both be good and bad for our skin. Getting rid of extra sebum and dead skin cells are its perks, but overdoing it can strip our skin with its natural oils which is not what you want. I’ve been using this for a few weeks and below are my honest thoughts about this product.

Product Info:

Name: Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel

Size: 100 ml

Product Description:

Made with the finest natural ingredients, the Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel claims to remove dead skin cells and sebum, condition and improve skin tone and increase the skin’s elasticity.

Ingredients:

Water, PEG-400, Alcohol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Arginine, Carbomer, Benzyl Glycol, Butoxydiglycol, Raspberry Ketone, PEG-60, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phaseolus Radiatus Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Leaf Extract, Goat Milk Extract, Yogurt Extract, Panthenol, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Flower (Leaf) Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Fragrance

I always try to stay away from products with any kinds of alcohol on it as my skin can react negatively to it. Though, that’s not the case on this product. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that St. Ives Apricot Scrub was my go to facial scrub ever since I was 12 years old! I know, it’s craaaazy, but that was the only product (Western product) that didn’t break me out.. Kind of had no choice. The packaging of this peeling gel is really eye catching! It comes in a sturdy tub with its cute product name. I got to be honest, I’m a little dum dum who threw away the box without even thinking. I just remember cleaning our room when I just put it in a box that ended up going to the trash. I do remember that the box was really cute too. How I wish I didn’t throw it out!

The tub comes with a little spatula to scoop out the gel. It also has a separator to avoid the product from leaking or becoming messy. Its consistency is gel and pasty like. The scent can be strong though it dissipates as soon as you start applying it. It starts off just like a cleanser type, but as you massage it onto your skin it starts to feel beady and starts forming clumps that then roll off your skin.

Final thoughts: I don’t even know where to start with this, but I got to admit, I fell in love with it after one use. I decided to just use this once a week because I don’t think my skin would appreciate it being use more often. It applies really easily with its gel like consistency. After applying it, you’d have to massage your face until the product starts to roll and peel. It’ll take about a minute or two. I do enjoy using this because it’s relaxing to do it and the results I get in the end is quite satisfying. I’ve been using this for the past month or so and my tub seems like it’s not even been touched! Okay, mostly because it’s just being used once a week. Haha! If you’re looking for a product that will make your skin feel amazing after a long week of working and running errands, this will definitely help! I love using this and having my skin feel so soft and smooth. A great way to pamper myself at home. The scent can throw you off since others find the scent unpleasant or overwhelming. I actually don’t mind it. Mainly because as soon as you apply it and start massaging, the scent fades. Always be careful when trying out products especially peeling gels as some can be more harsh than others. I do have sensitive skin and it hasn’t caused me any problems. Another thing, it helps a lot when it comes to removing excess sebum! Especially now that it’s summer, I tend to get oily very easily and any products that would help reduce it is a life saver. Who likes getting oily daily? This has helped (yes, even if I just use it once a week) tremendously!

One thing that I’m intrigued about is something that I got asked on Instagram. Is it really dead skin cells that peels off? To be honest, up until now, I still have no concrete response about that. I’ll keep researching until I come up with something. I don’t want to say that it’s guaranteed to be dead skin cells, though as I search, I have my fingers crossed that this would live up to its claims. Have you used this product before? What do you think about this product? Do you think it lives up to its claims that it removes dead skin cells?

Cosrx Soothing Aloe Sun Cream

I was not a huge fan of sunscreen before Kbeauty unless I’m under the sun tanning. I’m well aware of how we should have sunscreen on for daily use, but I’ve disregarded that. Whenever I use sunscreens, I always get oily and leaves me feeling icky. Before this, I only owned one other sunscreen which is the Missha All Around Safe Block Essence.

When I purchased this, I wasn’t able to find a lot of reviews on it. I also have quite a few followers on Instagram ask me about this. So, after using this for the past few weeks, I feel comfortable sharing my honest opinion.

DSC_0315

Product Info: Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream

Size: 50 ml

Product Description:

“An oil-free, soothing, and moisturizing cream containing 5,500ppm of aloe vera leaf extract that protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Hydrate and soothe your skin with beneficial aloe and other ingredients while blocking out the sun’s skin damaging rays with this non-sticky and long-lasting sun cream.”

Ingredients:

Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Isoamyl P-Methoxycinnamate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, C14-22 Alcohols, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Aloe Arborescens Leaf Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopheryl Acetate, PEG-100 Stearate, Silica, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Triethanolamine Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA

My Thoughts:

When I first received this product, I went ahead and opened this baby up. The packaging is nice and sturdy. It’s sleek and very compact for traveling. The scent of it is quite refreshing and smelled a lot like Aloe Vera. It is creamy, but not dense and I find it to be quite light. It easily applies onto the skin and I find that my skin absorbs it fast. I do like that this hydrates my skin while wearing it. I have to re-apply it for long wear, but I don’t mind because it definitely keeps me hydrated and not burn my skin. This sunscreen never left me a white cast. It also doesn’t make my skin oily. At the end of the night, I sometimes forget that I had sunscreen on! Honestly, I would recommend this to any skin type.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

I need to catch up with reviews since I skipped last week. Plus, writing reviews will probably my saving grace with all the craziness going on right now. You guys wouldn’t even believe what I’m feeling right now! Ugh..

Anyway, on to the review, I’ve always suffered with dried lips which leads to chapped lips. Not attractive to look at. At all. I’m also the kind of girl that when I feel some skin hanging, you better know I’ll pick it even though I know I shouldn’t. Force of habit sucks because when I pick on my lips, of course it would lead to bleeding and eventually, busted looking lips. So, when I started getting into KBeauty, I know that I have to get my hands on something that will save my lips too. You can have a really smooth and soft skin, but with a busted lip? No can do.

When I joined the KBeauty community on Instagram, I saw how many people rave and love this product. Of course, a lip product, raved and loved of many.. I have to get my hands on it! The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask became my life saver towards the end of last Winter. Ever since then, I just can’t imagine a night going by without using this.

Product Info:

Name: Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (Special Care)

Size: 20 g

Ingredients:

Diisostearyl Malate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Phytosteryl/Isostearyl/Cetyl/Stearyl/Behenyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Hydrogenated C6-14 Olefin Polymers, Polybutene, Microcrystalline Wax, Shea Butter, Synthetic Wax, Candelilla Wax, Sucrose Tetrastearate Triacetate, Hydrogenated Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Mica, Astrocaryum murumuru Seed Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Dimethicone, Aromatics, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Methicone, Carnauba Wax, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, CI 15985, CI 15850, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Water, Potassium Alginate, Propanediol, Glycerin, Alcohol, Lycium Fruit Extract, Cranberry Fruit Extract, Strawberry Fruit Extract, Raspberry Fruit Extract, Sapindus mukurossi Fruit Extract, Blueberry Fruit Extract,  Rubus chamaemorus Seed Extract, Coffee Extract, Chenopodium quinoa Seed Extract, Magnesium Sulfate, Calcium Chloride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-Glucan, Manganese Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Ascorbyl Glucoside

The ingredients listed above is for the Berry kind. This product comes in different varieties like Berry, Grapefruit, Apple Lime and Vanilla.

DSC_0564

Claims:

“Vitamin C-rich Berry Mix ComplexTM, containing raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, blueberry extracts erases dry, flaky dead skin on the lips during the night to realize smooth and supple lips the next morning.”

Thoughts:

When I first got this product, I liked the boxing and packaging of it. It’s really nice and elegant. The Sleeping Mask comes in a small pot and along with it comes a cute, little spatula with its own plastic envelope. Upon opening it, I loved the sweet scent of berries. It smells divine and really reminds me of Chapsticks, but better. I’m very picky when it comes to putting on products on my face especially my lips. I always have that scare of putting something on and having it not work for me leaving my skin irritated or worse than before. I had to overcome that fear if I would like my lips to get better. I didn’t go wrong choosing this product and after the first use, I see why this is loved by many. Heck, I can’t live without this anymore!

I always use this at the end of my routine. Whenever you apply this product, a small amount goes a long way. That’s why when you look at the picture, it doesn’t even seem like I’ve used it up. I’ve been using this every night and the results are great. Honestly, I don’t even use the little spatula. I use it more like a lip balm. I never have to worry about hygiene because I’m the only one who uses it. After application, the scent lingers, but it’s not in any way overpowering. The product doesn’t dry out. In my opinion, the product takes a while to dry. When I wake up in the morning, I can still feel some of it, but it’s not sticky. I wash my lips while washing my face and my lips really feel soft and plump.

To make sure that I don’t forget this step, I make sure that this product is on my night stand. Since I don’t use this until before I hit the hay, there’s a great chance I’ll forget about it when I lay down. So keeping it within arms reach is great. I mean, would I be the only one who gets lazy after getting comfortable and then remembering I forgot a step? I’ll keep purchasing this product, maybe even try out the different varieties. If you suffer from dry lips, this product would definitely aid that.

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel

Hey guys! Today I’ll be sharing with you a product that I received while I was subscribed to Beauteque’s BB Bag Monthly Subscription. It’s a product that I probably would’ve overlooked if not tried and tested. Thankfully, I received it because it has become one of my favorite moisturizers.

DSC_0489 (1)

As someone who has combination skin, moisturizers aren’t really my thing. I tried to stay away from them because if chosen the wrong product, my face can be an oily mess before the clock can even hit noon. When I received this product, I was already in love with the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence. I never knew that snail can be so good for the skin! So I decided to give it a try and this product will be on my holy grail list!

First off, this Gel Cream is lightweight! I incorporate this both my morning and evening routines without it getting my skin oily. It’s so lightweight that my skin drinks this up and it leaves my skin smooth! Since the weather is changing, I’d love to keep this to keep my skin well hydrated. Unfortunately, the only other ‘moisturizers’ I can compare to is my Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule. I hid that ampoule in my stash because it’s too heavy for my skin while the weather is warming up.

I also like how easily this applies! As the name implies, it’s consistency is gel like, but it applies sooo smooth and easy! I usually just dispense some into my palm, rub my hands together and apply it that way. This even doubles sort of like a “hand cream,” obviously not a cream, but I like how it moisturizes my hands as well.

It is travel friendly! It’s compact design makes it perfect for road trips. I believe it comes on a 4 oz. size, but even though it’s on the smaller side, it takes a while to use up the tube. It may sound like an ad, but you really only need a little for your face. You will be able to tell if you’ve used a lot because it will take a little longer to absorb.

Another plus about this, it can be great as a base before make up application! Scent wise isn’t so bad either kind of in between floral and herbal-y. Cooling on the skin while absorbing. Honestly, I don’t really a down side of this product. Perhaps, it could come in a bigger size, but the price for the size is totally worth it!

Price: This product varies in pricing depending on the website. I can find this tube on eBay for as low as $4.88 with free shipping! Of course, this is coming from Korea and it will take about two weeks in shipping if you’re in the U.S.

Some other websites that sell this product is:

Conclusion:

I am thoroughly enjoying this product. It’s lightweight enough for my combination skin and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, either! I consider putting this on my holy grail list because for its price and the performance.. It is great! In fact, I will be adding this to my cart once my ‘no buy’ is over! Haha. My tube is already halfway done and I totally love it! Perfect for the summer weather coming up so that my skin will be well hydrated and cool during the heat.

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

I can’t believe it’s already May! I want to kick off this month by reviewing one of the most raved about toners in the ABCommunity… It’s the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner!

I got to admit, I didn’t really want to cave in and buy this toner. Quite honestly, I do think that I was meant to try this product after winning a few giveaways this past month. April must have been my lucky month because I didn’t only just win one! I won.. FIVE! It’s crazy to think of, but I really did! So in exchange of winning a couple of giveaways, I’ll be hosting my second giveaway! In lieu to my birthday coming up in June. Stay tuned for the details on my Instagram (@kbeauty.reinex)!

This is the second product I have from Klairs. The very first one being the Midnight Blue Calming Cream. I enjoy using that cream as a spot treatment than a moisturizer. More on that later.. 🙂

DSC_0481.jpg

Product Info:

Name: Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

Size: 180 ml / 6.08 fl oz

Description:

This toner is formulated with various botanical extracts to balance the skin’s pH level and provide full nourishment to the skin. It also helps prepare the skin to better absorb following products and boosts their effectiveness.

DSC_0497

Packaging – It comes in a sturdy bottle. One thing that people might like is that it isn’t a flip top. Though I don’t mind that it’s a screw top. It dispenses very easily and I think it will avoid spilling if you accidentally drop it.

Scent – It doesn’t smell artificial neither alcohol. It smells refreshing to me due to the botanical ingredients it has. I really enjoy its scent and it isn’t overwhelming at all.

DSC_0485

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine, Carylic/Capric Triglyceride, Natto Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polyquaternium-51, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Auranticum Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Copper Tripeptide-1.

Main Ingredients of this product:

  • Sodium Hyaluronate – An ingredient that’s known for it’s anti-aging properties.
  • Beta Glucan – Helps maintain a youthful appearance.
  • Centella Asiatica Extract – A healing plant that helps prevent skin aging.

Review:

I’ve had this toner incorporated into my routine going on a month now. I got to say, I really do enjoy it. It’s really good for those who have sensitive skin and I do find it moisturizing. For those who have oily skin, I don’t think this will over moisturize you. This toner always leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. Though I use my other toner Etude House’s Wonder Pore Freshner probably every other week just to make sure that my face is clean because of the stubborn white heads that keeps coming back. For someone who has combination skin, this doesn’t cause me any problems during the day time. I am someone who has really sensitive skin and this product is just right because it never cause me any irritations as well as break outs. I can definitely tell that this helps my skin be moisturized as well as nourished. I’ve never felt my face so soft after using a toner!

If you’re looking for a toner that has no alcohol. This is the perfect toner for you! I got to say, I was scared because I thought that this could cause problems to my combination skin, but my skin drinks this right up! I also don’t think that this is pricey. For it’s price, it will last you a while. I’ve been using mine morning and evening and I’m not even 1/4 done with the bottle. I can see this being on my routine for a long time!

Tony Moly Tomatox Massage Pack

When I was getting started with KBeauty, Tony Moly was definitely one of the first brands I’ve fallen in love with! I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Their brand carries some of the most adorable packaging you’ve probably ever seen! One of those products I’ll be talking about in this blog post.

I first tried this product through a sample I received from Jolse. Honestly, I overlooked this product because I thought it was a cream. After looking through, I gave it a shot and I was glad I did!

Product Info:

Name: Tony Moly Magic Massage Pack

Size: 80 g

Claims:

Formulated with tomato extract, this multifunctional mask detoxifies, brightens, revitalizes and hydrates skin.

Packaging & Scent:

Look how adorable the packaging is! Just as how it’s named after its key ingredient… Tomato! It’s a study twist off container. It comes with a spatula for hygienic purposes. Unfortunately, due to shipping, the product has leaked upon getting to me. Kind of a bummer, but I still decided to use it. Scent is lovely! There is a hint of tomato to it, but it’s not overwhelming. I’m kind of sensitive when it comes to heavily scented products, but this passes it. 🙂

Ingredients:

Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Water, Sorbitol, Titanium Dioxide, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Niacinamide, PVP, Squalene, Polysorbate 60, Pearl Powder, Coral Powder, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Saururus Chinensis Extract, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Arginine, Aluminum Hydroxide, Fragrance, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Propylparaben, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Sucrose, Tocopheryl Acetate

Some of the key ingredients are:

  • Niacinamide – Brightening and anti-aging
  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract – Brightening and antioxidant
  • Centella Asiatica Extract – Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant
  • Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract – Brightening and antioxidant

While some of the ingredients are beneficial, there are also some that can be harmful. As always, trying out a product before committing to a full size is ideal. Products that can work for me can or can’t work for you. My skin type is combination and sensitive. Unfortunately, this product contains alcohol so that is something that can be harsh and irritate someone’s skin. Just a heads up!

Conclusion:

As I said, I got to try this mask from a sample I got on my order. I really like its packaging and the scent. I use this product once or twice a week if it’s what my skin needs. Though I do think that using it twice a week can be harsh. Reading the ingredient list kind of make me realize the ingredients it has and it does have a few which I usually try to stay clear of. Upon researching about this product, I came across something interesting. Apparently, in Taiwan, this product has been banned because it contains Hydrogen Peroxide. Though they say that it was the old version of it. Now that I read its ingredient list, there isn’t Hydrogen Peroxide on it, so this kind of the product is safe to use. Just be careful purchasing items especially this product.

Back to my conclusion…

The very first time I tried this, I was wowed with the results! I used it as a regular wash off mask without massaging my skin. I left it on for 10 minutes and after washing it off, my skin was really brightened! It didn’t over dry my skin as well which I liked. Due to its alcohol content, it causes stinging while having it on. Though for me, it doesn’t sting really bad. Not only did it brighten my skin, but it also left my skin feeling smooth and soft.

ReCafe Essential Shampoo

Any coffee lovers out there? This post might just be for you! Except I won’t be talking about drinking coffee. I’m talking about a product that’s made out from coffee! I discovered ReFine’s brand through Instagram. They sent me this shampoo for my honest review! If you want to check it out, their page on IG is @r3fine.

I’m always on a search for good hair products. Most times, I find it hard to encounter a product that would do well with my hair. I have a thick, but fine hair. The past months it’s been acting weird. Some days, it would be fine and others it would just be a mess. This brand produces products that are sulfate-free, paraben-free, and they are eco-friendly. I’ve posted about this shampoo on my IG, but this is my full review of it!

I talked with Mr. Joshua from this company and he asked me quite a few questions regarding my hair type and recommended this type of shampoo for me.

Product Name: ReCafe Essential Shampoo

Size: 250 ml / 8.5 fl oz

Claims: Antioxidant and Repairing for normal hair

Description:

This shampoo contains >98.1% Natural ingredients. The Recafe oil is extracted from 100% recycled coffee grounds recovers the anti-oxidant and repairing energies of the hair. The foam of this natural plant foaming agents gently cleanse and lock moisture into the hair to create silky gloss.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl,Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauryl Flucose Carboxylate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Sucrose Cocoate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Ethylexyglycerin, Methylpropanediol, Polyquaternium-7, Polyquaternium-10, Niacinamide, Climbazole, Citric Acid

Wow, this ingredient list is one of the shortest list I’ve seen especially when it comes to a hair product!

Price: $21.99 – R3fine

The Verdict:

I’ve used this product quite for quite a while now so I’m pretty comfortable with sharing my experiences. This is unlike any other shampoos I’ve tried before and trust me, I’ve tried a bunch of different hair products. It doesn’t foam up that much, but gives you a bit to lather. With that being said, my hair needs quite a few of this every use and I’m already half way done with the bottle. I do like the scent of it! It smells like coffee upon opening it especially while you’re using it. Even after my hair has dried, it still smells like coffee. It doesn’t dry out my hair and leaves it normal. Though I think I wouldn’t re-purchase. I just think for the price I could get a different brand that does the same, if not better. For those who are picky when it comes to their hair products, this would definitely be a good choice!

Again, thank you Mr. Joshua from R3fine for sending me this shampoo to try out! This is my honest thoughts about the product.

‘Till next time,

Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule

I never really knew how behind my posts are until I go through my stash and find that I still have a product I’ve not reviewed! So for today’s review, I’ve finally got around to talk about this honey ampoule. I’ve seen this a few times in the KBeauty scene and after thinking about it, I went ahead and got myself one. My skin type is combination and I was a little afraid to use it because it could get my skin oily. I got this towards the end of winter. It was perfect because winter gives us dry skin. Like. Seriously. Dryyyy! Now that summer and heat are upon us, will this product keep moisturizing my skin or will it over moisturize it during the warmer season?

Product Info:

Name: Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule

Size: 250 ml

Claims:

This all in one ampoule claims to make your skin moist and soft with it containing 90% honey extract.

Ingredients:

Honey Extract, Glycerin, Water, Niacinamide, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Root Extract, Hydrolized Silk, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine, Caramel, Adenosine, Xantham Gum, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol

Upon reading the ingredients, you can see some products that can trigger causes for acne and irritation. With careful use, I believe this product to not be as harmful to our skin. I have sensitive skin and this didn’t trigger any acnes or irritations.

Packaging & Scent:

This product comes in a glass jar with a spatula for hygienic purposes. It’s a little dense, but not like the consistency of pure honey. I love it’s scent! It really smells like honey. Nothing artificial. Upon application, it gets a little sticky, but after the skin absorbs it, it leaves it really moisturized and supple.

Review:

I’ve been using this product for a couple of months. It really does a great job when it comes to moisturizing and leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. A product that became my routine staple during the colder months when you get dry skin. I also like how flexible this product is. When you’re having a rushed routine, this is perfect because of its all in one properties. You can slap this on and start your day. Unfortunately, now that spring and summer is coming around, I feel like it’s on the heavier side for my skin type. I enjoy using this for the rest of my body because of its moisturizing properties. Talk about my dry skin getting back to normal because of this ampoule. I’ll be keeping this in my routine and incorporate it once in a while. It’s just I can’t use this during my AM routine because one time I did, my face was an oily mess before noon! I do think that those who have oily skin type will benefit from this. It moisturizes your skin without irritating it. Plus, the lovely scent of honey? It’s to die for! Unless, you’re not a fan of honey or is allergic to it. While having warmer weather, I’ve incorporated the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel into my routine. Thoughts about that product will be up soon! Stay tuned! 😉

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Hey guys! Today I’m writing about another Korean Beauty Holy Grail! The Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser! Is this item in your holy grail list along with so many other KBeauty fans?

I got this cleanser from Amazon, but this review is not sponsored by the company nor Amazon. This is my honest opinion!

If you’re looking for a cleanser that isn’t harsh to your precious skin, this could be the cleanser for you! I know some people use this cleanser for both their morning and evening routines and they love it. I honestly don’t blame them because after trying this gel cleanser for myself, I love it too!

Ingredients:

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Polysorbate 20, Styrax Japonicus Branch/Fruit/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Saccharomyces Ferment, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA

I love that this product is free from harsh chemicals like Parabens, Phtalates, Sulfates, Dye and Tar.

First Impression:

Upon opening the product, the scent didn’t really wow me. I thought it smelled weird because this was the first product that smelled a bit different to me (I’m weird, I know..). You can actually smell the Tea Tree. As I first tried it, I completely forgot that this was a gel cleanser and not a foam. Haha! Obviously, it wouldn’t foam like a foam cleanser, but it gives you a little when the water hits it. It gives you a good lather while massaging it. After using this cleanser, I can really tell that my skin feels refreshed. It doesn’t feel dry rather it feels well balanced and well hydrated.

Price:

This item is available in a lot of Korean Beauty Websites even Amazon. I’ll be posting websites where the price isn’t a killer. 😉

Review:

If you’ve been using this product, let others know why you love or not love this item below! 🙂 This product performs really well for keeping your skin well balanced. Either you use it in your morning routine like what I do, you can really tell the difference. I know some prefer using this product both morning and evening. That’s because this item doesn’t irritate your skin! It has a pH balance of 5, so that’s perfect if you have sensitive skin as well. This item is perfect if you have dry, oily or combination skin! Using a little bit of the product is enough, if you use a lot, I think it’ll over dry your skin and that’s something that you wouldn’t really want. You’ll probably notice because if you use a lot your skin will feel tightening. For me, this leaves my skin well balanced and ready to face the day. It’s a product that I’ll keep in my list especially since I have sensitive skin, I can rely on this to not break me out. I already have an extra one on hand! 😉
