Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

I need to catch up with reviews since I skipped last week. Plus, writing reviews will probably my saving grace with all the craziness going on right now. You guys wouldn’t even believe what I’m feeling right now! Ugh..

Anyway, on to the review, I’ve always suffered with dried lips which leads to chapped lips. Not attractive to look at. At all. I’m also the kind of girl that when I feel some skin hanging, you better know I’ll pick it even though I know I shouldn’t. Force of habit sucks because when I pick on my lips, of course it would lead to bleeding and eventually, busted looking lips. So, when I started getting into KBeauty, I know that I have to get my hands on something that will save my lips too. You can have a really smooth and soft skin, but with a busted lip? No can do.

When I joined the KBeauty community on Instagram, I saw how many people rave and love this product. Of course, a lip product, raved and loved of many.. I have to get my hands on it! The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask became my life saver towards the end of last Winter. Ever since then, I just can’t imagine a night going by without using this.

Product Info:

Claims:

“Vitamin C-rich Berry Mix ComplexTM, containing raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, blueberry extracts erases dry, flaky dead skin on the lips during the night to realize smooth and supple lips the next morning.”

Thoughts:

When I first got this product, I liked the boxing and packaging of it. It’s really nice and elegant. The Sleeping Mask comes in a small pot and along with it comes a cute, little spatula with its own plastic envelope. Upon opening it, I loved the sweet scent of berries. It smells divine and really reminds me of Chapsticks, but better. I’m very picky when it comes to putting on products on my face especially my lips. I always have that scare of putting something on and having it not work for me leaving my skin irritated or worse than before. I had to overcome that fear if I would like my lips to get better. I didn’t go wrong choosing this product and after the first use, I see why this is loved by many. Heck, I can’t live without this anymore!

I always use this at the end of my routine. Whenever you apply this product, a small amount goes a long way. That’s why when you look at the picture, it doesn’t even seem like I’ve used it up. I’ve been using this every night and the results are great. Honestly, I don’t even use the little spatula. I use it more like a lip balm. I never have to worry about hygiene because I’m the only one who uses it. After application, the scent lingers, but it’s not in any way overpowering. The product doesn’t dry out. In my opinion, the product takes a while to dry. When I wake up in the morning, I can still feel some of it, but it’s not sticky. I wash my lips while washing my face and my lips really feel soft and plump.

To make sure that I don’t forget this step, I make sure that this product is on my night stand. Since I don’t use this until before I hit the hay, there’s a great chance I’ll forget about it when I lay down. So keeping it within arms reach is great. I mean, would I be the only one who gets lazy after getting comfortable and then remembering I forgot a step? I’ll keep purchasing this product, maybe even try out the different varieties. If you suffer from dry lips, this product would definitely aid that.

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel

Hey guys! Today I’ll be sharing with you a product that I received while I was subscribed to Beauteque’s BB Bag Monthly Subscription. It’s a product that I probably would’ve overlooked if not tried and tested. Thankfully, I received it because it has become one of my favorite moisturizers.

DSC_0489 (1)

As someone who has combination skin, moisturizers aren’t really my thing. I tried to stay away from them because if chosen the wrong product, my face can be an oily mess before the clock can even hit noon. When I received this product, I was already in love with the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence. I never knew that snail can be so good for the skin! So I decided to give it a try and this product will be on my holy grail list!

First off, this Gel Cream is lightweight! I incorporate this both my morning and evening routines without it getting my skin oily. It’s so lightweight that my skin drinks this up and it leaves my skin smooth! Since the weather is changing, I’d love to keep this to keep my skin well hydrated. Unfortunately, the only other ‘moisturizers’ I can compare to is my Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule. I hid that ampoule in my stash because it’s too heavy for my skin while the weather is warming up.

I also like how easily this applies! As the name implies, it’s consistency is gel like, but it applies sooo smooth and easy! I usually just dispense some into my palm, rub my hands together and apply it that way. This even doubles sort of like a “hand cream,” obviously not a cream, but I like how it moisturizes my hands as well.

It is travel friendly! It’s compact design makes it perfect for road trips. I believe it comes on a 4 oz. size, but even though it’s on the smaller side, it takes a while to use up the tube. It may sound like an ad, but you really only need a little for your face. You will be able to tell if you’ve used a lot because it will take a little longer to absorb.

Another plus about this, it can be great as a base before make up application! Scent wise isn’t so bad either kind of in between floral and herbal-y. Cooling on the skin while absorbing. Honestly, I don’t really a down side of this product. Perhaps, it could come in a bigger size, but the price for the size is totally worth it!

Price: This product varies in pricing depending on the website. I can find this tube on eBay for as low as $4.88 with free shipping! Of course, this is coming from Korea and it will take about two weeks in shipping if you’re in the U.S.

Some other websites that sell this product is:

Conclusion:

I am thoroughly enjoying this product. It’s lightweight enough for my combination skin and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, either! I consider putting this on my holy grail list because for its price and the performance.. It is great! In fact, I will be adding this to my cart once my ‘no buy’ is over! Haha. My tube is already halfway done and I totally love it! Perfect for the summer weather coming up so that my skin will be well hydrated and cool during the heat.

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

I can’t believe it’s already May! I want to kick off this month by reviewing one of the most raved about toners in the ABCommunity… It’s the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner!

I got to admit, I didn’t really want to cave in and buy this toner. Quite honestly, I do think that I was meant to try this product after winning a few giveaways this past month. April must have been my lucky month because I didn’t only just win one! I won.. FIVE! It’s crazy to think of, but I really did! So in exchange of winning a couple of giveaways, I’ll be hosting my second giveaway! In lieu to my birthday coming up in June. Stay tuned for the details on my Instagram (@kbeauty.reinex)!

This is the second product I have from Klairs. The very first one being the Midnight Blue Calming Cream. I enjoy using that cream as a spot treatment than a moisturizer. More on that later.. 🙂

DSC_0481.jpg

Product Info:

Name: Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

Size: 180 ml / 6.08 fl oz

Description:

This toner is formulated with various botanical extracts to balance the skin’s pH level and provide full nourishment to the skin. It also helps prepare the skin to better absorb following products and boosts their effectiveness.

DSC_0497

Packaging – It comes in a sturdy bottle. One thing that people might like is that it isn’t a flip top. Though I don’t mind that it’s a screw top. It dispenses very easily and I think it will avoid spilling if you accidentally drop it.

Scent – It doesn’t smell artificial neither alcohol. It smells refreshing to me due to the botanical ingredients it has. I really enjoy its scent and it isn’t overwhelming at all.

DSC_0485

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine, Carylic/Capric Triglyceride, Natto Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polyquaternium-51, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Auranticum Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Copper Tripeptide-1.

Main Ingredients of this product:

  • Sodium Hyaluronate – An ingredient that’s known for it’s anti-aging properties.
  • Beta Glucan – Helps maintain a youthful appearance.
  • Centella Asiatica Extract – A healing plant that helps prevent skin aging.

Review:

I’ve had this toner incorporated into my routine going on a month now. I got to say, I really do enjoy it. It’s really good for those who have sensitive skin and I do find it moisturizing. For those who have oily skin, I don’t think this will over moisturize you. This toner always leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. Though I use my other toner Etude House’s Wonder Pore Freshner probably every other week just to make sure that my face is clean because of the stubborn white heads that keeps coming back. For someone who has combination skin, this doesn’t cause me any problems during the day time. I am someone who has really sensitive skin and this product is just right because it never cause me any irritations as well as break outs. I can definitely tell that this helps my skin be moisturized as well as nourished. I’ve never felt my face so soft after using a toner!

If you’re looking for a toner that has no alcohol. This is the perfect toner for you! I got to say, I was scared because I thought that this could cause problems to my combination skin, but my skin drinks this right up! I also don’t think that this is pricey. For it’s price, it will last you a while. I’ve been using mine morning and evening and I’m not even 1/4 done with the bottle. I can see this being on my routine for a long time!

Tony Moly Tomatox Massage Pack

When I was getting started with KBeauty, Tony Moly was definitely one of the first brands I’ve fallen in love with! I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Their brand carries some of the most adorable packaging you’ve probably ever seen! One of those products I’ll be talking about in this blog post.

I first tried this product through a sample I received from Jolse. Honestly, I overlooked this product because I thought it was a cream. After looking through, I gave it a shot and I was glad I did!

Product Info:

Name: Tony Moly Magic Massage Pack

Size: 80 g

Claims:

Formulated with tomato extract, this multifunctional mask detoxifies, brightens, revitalizes and hydrates skin.

Packaging & Scent:

Look how adorable the packaging is! Just as how it’s named after its key ingredient… Tomato! It’s a study twist off container. It comes with a spatula for hygienic purposes. Unfortunately, due to shipping, the product has leaked upon getting to me. Kind of a bummer, but I still decided to use it. Scent is lovely! There is a hint of tomato to it, but it’s not overwhelming. I’m kind of sensitive when it comes to heavily scented products, but this passes it. 🙂

Ingredients:

Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Water, Sorbitol, Titanium Dioxide, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Niacinamide, PVP, Squalene, Polysorbate 60, Pearl Powder, Coral Powder, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Saururus Chinensis Extract, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Arginine, Aluminum Hydroxide, Fragrance, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Propylparaben, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Sucrose, Tocopheryl Acetate

Some of the key ingredients are:

  • Niacinamide – Brightening and anti-aging
  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract – Brightening and antioxidant
  • Centella Asiatica Extract – Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant
  • Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract – Brightening and antioxidant

While some of the ingredients are beneficial, there are also some that can be harmful. As always, trying out a product before committing to a full size is ideal. Products that can work for me can or can’t work for you. My skin type is combination and sensitive. Unfortunately, this product contains alcohol so that is something that can be harsh and irritate someone’s skin. Just a heads up!

Conclusion:

As I said, I got to try this mask from a sample I got on my order. I really like its packaging and the scent. I use this product once or twice a week if it’s what my skin needs. Though I do think that using it twice a week can be harsh. Reading the ingredient list kind of make me realize the ingredients it has and it does have a few which I usually try to stay clear of. Upon researching about this product, I came across something interesting. Apparently, in Taiwan, this product has been banned because it contains Hydrogen Peroxide. Though they say that it was the old version of it. Now that I read its ingredient list, there isn’t Hydrogen Peroxide on it, so this kind of the product is safe to use. Just be careful purchasing items especially this product.

Back to my conclusion…

The very first time I tried this, I was wowed with the results! I used it as a regular wash off mask without massaging my skin. I left it on for 10 minutes and after washing it off, my skin was really brightened! It didn’t over dry my skin as well which I liked. Due to its alcohol content, it causes stinging while having it on. Though for me, it doesn’t sting really bad. Not only did it brighten my skin, but it also left my skin feeling smooth and soft.

ReCafe Essential Shampoo

Any coffee lovers out there? This post might just be for you! Except I won’t be talking about drinking coffee. I’m talking about a product that’s made out from coffee! I discovered ReFine’s brand through Instagram. They sent me this shampoo for my honest review! If you want to check it out, their page on IG is @r3fine.

I’m always on a search for good hair products. Most times, I find it hard to encounter a product that would do well with my hair. I have a thick, but fine hair. The past months it’s been acting weird. Some days, it would be fine and others it would just be a mess. This brand produces products that are sulfate-free, paraben-free, and they are eco-friendly. I’ve posted about this shampoo on my IG, but this is my full review of it!

I talked with Mr. Joshua from this company and he asked me quite a few questions regarding my hair type and recommended this type of shampoo for me.

Product Name: ReCafe Essential Shampoo

Size: 250 ml / 8.5 fl oz

Claims: Antioxidant and Repairing for normal hair

Description:

This shampoo contains >98.1% Natural ingredients. The Recafe oil is extracted from 100% recycled coffee grounds recovers the anti-oxidant and repairing energies of the hair. The foam of this natural plant foaming agents gently cleanse and lock moisture into the hair to create silky gloss.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl,Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauryl Flucose Carboxylate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Sucrose Cocoate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Ethylexyglycerin, Methylpropanediol, Polyquaternium-7, Polyquaternium-10, Niacinamide, Climbazole, Citric Acid

Wow, this ingredient list is one of the shortest list I’ve seen especially when it comes to a hair product!

Price: $21.99 – R3fine

The Verdict:

I’ve used this product quite for quite a while now so I’m pretty comfortable with sharing my experiences. This is unlike any other shampoos I’ve tried before and trust me, I’ve tried a bunch of different hair products. It doesn’t foam up that much, but gives you a bit to lather. With that being said, my hair needs quite a few of this every use and I’m already half way done with the bottle. I do like the scent of it! It smells like coffee upon opening it especially while you’re using it. Even after my hair has dried, it still smells like coffee. It doesn’t dry out my hair and leaves it normal. Though I think I wouldn’t re-purchase. I just think for the price I could get a different brand that does the same, if not better. For those who are picky when it comes to their hair products, this would definitely be a good choice!

Again, thank you Mr. Joshua from R3fine for sending me this shampoo to try out! This is my honest thoughts about the product.

Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule

I never really knew how behind my posts are until I go through my stash and find that I still have a product I’ve not reviewed! So for today’s review, I’ve finally got around to talk about this honey ampoule. I’ve seen this a few times in the KBeauty scene and after thinking about it, I went ahead and got myself one. My skin type is combination and I was a little afraid to use it because it could get my skin oily. I got this towards the end of winter. It was perfect because winter gives us dry skin. Like. Seriously. Dryyyy! Now that summer and heat are upon us, will this product keep moisturizing my skin or will it over moisturize it during the warmer season?

Product Info:

Name: Scinic Honey All in One Ampoule

Size: 250 ml

Claims:

This all in one ampoule claims to make your skin moist and soft with it containing 90% honey extract.

Ingredients:

Honey Extract, Glycerin, Water, Niacinamide, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Root Extract, Hydrolized Silk, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine, Caramel, Adenosine, Xantham Gum, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol

Upon reading the ingredients, you can see some products that can trigger causes for acne and irritation. With careful use, I believe this product to not be as harmful to our skin. I have sensitive skin and this didn’t trigger any acnes or irritations.

Packaging & Scent:

This product comes in a glass jar with a spatula for hygienic purposes. It’s a little dense, but not like the consistency of pure honey. I love it’s scent! It really smells like honey. Nothing artificial. Upon application, it gets a little sticky, but after the skin absorbs it, it leaves it really moisturized and supple.

Price:

Jolse.com – $17.83

Amazon.com – $16.59

Review:

I’ve been using this product for a couple of months. It really does a great job when it comes to moisturizing and leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. A product that became my routine staple during the colder months when you get dry skin. I also like how flexible this product is. When you’re having a rushed routine, this is perfect because of its all in one properties. You can slap this on and start your day. Unfortunately, now that spring and summer is coming around, I feel like it’s on the heavier side for my skin type. I enjoy using this for the rest of my body because of its moisturizing properties. Talk about my dry skin getting back to normal because of this ampoule. I’ll be keeping this in my routine and incorporate it once in a while. It’s just I can’t use this during my AM routine because one time I did, my face was an oily mess before noon! I do think that those who have oily skin type will benefit from this. It moisturizes your skin without irritating it. Plus, the lovely scent of honey? It’s to die for! Unless, you’re not a fan of honey or is allergic to it. While having warmer weather, I’ve incorporated the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel into my routine. Thoughts about that product will be up soon! Stay tuned! 😉

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Hey guys! Today I’m writing about another Korean Beauty Holy Grail! The Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser! Is this item in your holy grail list along with so many other KBeauty fans?

I got this cleanser from Amazon, but this review is not sponsored by the company nor Amazon. This is my honest opinion!

If you’re looking for a cleanser that isn’t harsh to your precious skin, this could be the cleanser for you! I know some people use this cleanser for both their morning and evening routines and they love it. I honestly don’t blame them because after trying this gel cleanser for myself, I love it too!

Product Info:

Name: Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Size: 150 ml

Claims:

“This Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser boasts a low pH level of 5, which makes it perfect for any skin type. It’s also infused with BHA and Tea Tree Oil, a magical mix of ingredients that rids of dead skin cells, dissolves impurities deep within pores, and controls sebum, leaving skin glowing.”

-Memebox

Ingredients:

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Polysorbate 20, Styrax Japonicus Branch/Fruit/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Saccharomyces Ferment, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA

I love that this product is free from harsh chemicals like Parabens, Phtalates, Sulfates, Dye and Tar.

First Impression:

Upon opening the product, the scent didn’t really wow me. I thought it smelled weird because this was the first product that smelled a bit different to me (I’m weird, I know..). You can actually smell the Tea Tree. As I first tried it, I completely forgot that this was a gel cleanser and not a foam. Haha! Obviously, it wouldn’t foam like a foam cleanser, but it gives you a little when the water hits it. It gives you a good lather while massaging it. After using this cleanser, I can really tell that my skin feels refreshed. It doesn’t feel dry rather it feels well balanced and well hydrated.

Price:

This item is available in a lot of Korean Beauty Websites even Amazon. I’ll be posting websites where the price isn’t a killer. 😉

Review:

If you’ve been using this product, let others know why you love or not love this item below! 🙂 This product performs really well for keeping your skin well balanced. Either you use it in your morning routine like what I do, you can really tell the difference. I know some prefer using this product both morning and evening. That’s because this item doesn’t irritate your skin! It has a pH balance of 5, so that’s perfect if you have sensitive skin as well. This item is perfect if you have dry, oily or combination skin! Using a little bit of the product is enough, if you use a lot, I think it’ll over dry your skin and that’s something that you wouldn’t really want. You’ll probably notice because if you use a lot your skin will feel tightening. For me, this leaves my skin well balanced and ready to face the day. It’s a product that I’ll keep in my list especially since I have sensitive skin, I can rely on this to not break me out. I already have an extra one on hand! 😉

Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

Dear Klairs,

Today’s review is about one of the items that I’ve come to love! It is the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream! I received this product through Wishtrend in exchange for my honest review.

Product Info:

Name: Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

Size: 1 oz (30 ml)

Claims:

It is a moisturizing cream that provides the skin with intense, soothing hydration. It also helps to recover damaged skin cells from stress and stimulation.

Ingredients:

Water, Cetyl Ethylexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Centella Asiatica Extract, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Ceramide 3, Polysorbate 60, Bees Wax, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Morus Alba Root Extract, Tromethamine, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Guaiazulene, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Lecithin, Acetyl Glutamine, SH-Oglopeptide-1, SH-Oglopeptide-2, SH-Polypeptide-1, SH-Polypeptide-9, SH-Polypeptide-11, Bacillus/Soybean/Folic Acid Ferment Extract, Carylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol

Ingredient Highlights:

  • Centella Asiatica Extract – A herbal ingredient known for its anti-aging properties. Not only that, but this also helps with acne scars.
  •  Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil – A skin moisturizer, which helps clean out sebum and other stripping agents, lubricates and protect the skin from drying out.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – Secures moisture in the skin and creates fullness-youthful skin.

Packaging & Scent:

It comes in a sturdy glass jar. It comes with a little spatula for hygienic purposes. I don’t think it’s overly scented. It also applies really nicely and my skin absorbs it really well!

Price:

You can get this item from Wishtrend for $24.50.

Final Thoughts:

The first time I tried this, I used it as a moisturizer. Note! For those of you who have combination or oily skin, this wouldn’t be a light moisturizer. This actually delivers intense moisture to the skin! I woke up the next day and did my usual routine. Though this time, my face got really oily.. Yep, it was from this. If you have dry skin, this will be perfect for you! I honestly don’t think this can irritate your skin since it’s gentle. You can also use this as a “spot treatment,” which I’ve been doing and it really helps! I had two small break outs and this has definitely helped diminish it! This definitely delivers a whole lot of moisture. For a small jar, this will last you a while. I honestly will keep this in my stash for those monthly break outs and will keep it for winter months. Not ideal for summer where it’s warm and combination skin gets more oily. Seriously though, if you’re looking for something to calm down a break out, try this cream! Though in all honesty, I don’t think I would re-purchase. Simply because I have combination skin and find it too heavy. Also, the price is a bit steep for a little jar of cream.

Tony Moly Haeyo Mayo Nutrition Hair Pack

“Why is there mayo in the bathroom?”

A question that my youngest brother asked me after taking a shower. Lol.

Today’s topic is the Haeyo Mayo Nutrition Hair Pack  from Tony Moly. Before it disgusts you, no, this product didn’t smell like mayo! 😀 Since I’m a sucker for everything K-Beauty and those that I’ve tried have worked really well.. I went ahead and tried a hair product as well! I came across this product on Amazon. I’ve not seen this before and have only seen a few talk about it. Let’s find out if this works!

DSC_0392

Product Info:

Name: Tony Moly Haeyo Mayo Nutrition Pack (whew! Long name!)

Size: 250 ml

What is it?

This is a hair pack that gives nutrition to damaged hair.

Packaging:

This product comes in a sturdy flip top container. It straight up looks like a mayo container! Even with the label. Be careful not to put this in the pantry, or it can be mistaken as a mayo! Lol.

Scent:

The shea butter comes through even without the container being open! So no, this doesn’t smell like mayo. At all! No egg scent coming through. If you’re a shea butter lover, this is so for you!

DSC_0398

Ingredients:

Water, Dimethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, C13-16 Isoparaffin, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isopropyl Alcohol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Buteth-3, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Tributyl Citrate, Egg Yolk Extract, Vinegar, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Imidazolidinyl Urea, CI 19140, CI 15985, Fragrance

I didn’t even realized how much alcohol this product has until listing out these ingredients! Jeez!

After doing some research, there are good and bad alcohols for the hair. Apparently, Stearyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol are good for your hair since they are fatty alcohols and can condition your dry hair. Unfortunately, Isopropyl Alcohol isn’t good because it makes your hair dry. Hmmm… I guess they aren’t completely bad, but for those who don’t like alcohol in their products.. This is definitely one to avoid!

Final Thoughts:

I’ve used this product quite a bit. My hair has been dry and the roots tend to get oily at times, but this has definitely improved this condition. It does a good job of keeping my hair soft and smooth. I apply this nutrition pack after shampooing my hair and I can definitely tell the difference. My hair was really dry, but it is getting normal, thank goodness to this item. Unfortunately, this pack will not last long for those with long hair. I have medium length hair and I’m almost done with this. I’d definitely recommend this to those who love shea butter and to those who have dry hair. The scent can be overwhelming so it’s something you have to be careful with. While application, this seems a bit sticky? I don’t know the word for it, but it doesn’t apply smooth. After washing though, it’s really silky. After use, this makes my hair smooth and silky. That’s what I expected for this to do and it achieves it. I might re-purchase in the near future, but I’m eyeing on something else for now. Haha!

9wishes Milk Advanced Whitening Treatment

Hey all!

Today, I’m going to review a product that was given to me by BBCosmetic for free in exchange for my honest opinion and review!

I’m provided with a serum from 9wishes. Whether you’ve heard of serum, ampoules, and boosters, you think they all differentiate. In all honesty, their all the same thing they are skin treatments. They all have similar functions- they’re products that you don’t really need all over your face. Serums can be used as a spot-treatment for a target area. Layering serums in Korean skin care is pretty normal since it’s said that it gives our skin a “boost.”

This was my first ever serum and I’m thrilled to use it. For someone with combination and sensitive skin, will this live up to its claims? Let’s find out…

Product Info:

Name: 9wishes Milk Advanced Whitening Treatment

Size: 1 fl. oz or 30 ml

Claims:

This serum claims to brighten skin tone and to clarify. It also mentions that it’ll restore your complexion’s ability to produce elastin and hyaluronic acid for timeless skin.

Packaging and Scent:

This serum comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. It looks elegant! The dropper works really well. I’ve used it quite a bit, but it doesn’t show on the bottle. It’s still almost full! Scent wise, I’m not really impressed. To me, it smells like spoiled milk. Maybe because of its ingredients. The combination of milk, coconut, and shea butter isn’t ideal. It’s also a bit strong during application. So I had to hold my breath while applying and waiting for it to dry. It doesn’t really happen, but my oh my, I’m not a huge fan of its scent! Such a big turn off. *sighhh*

Due to my sensitive skin, I always look for products that aren’t full of harsh chemicals. Luckily, this serum contains a lot of pure ingredients. Some of the key ingredients that I like are:

  • Milk Protein Extract – Milk is known to hydrate the skin. It also has other benefits like exfoliating mature skin, soothes irritated skin, and it lightens dark skin. It’s also known for soothing a sun burn and most importantly, it moisturizes.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) – An interesting ingredients on skin care products. This specific ingredient is known for securing moisture and creates fullness-youthful skin.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – This plays an important role in cellular energy production. Some of its benefits are the ability to improve the appearance of large pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and weakened skin surface.
  • Trehalose – Known as a sugar which is found in plants, is known for its capability to retain moisture in the skin.

During winter months, everybody is prone to getting an overly dry skin. This is why a lot of KBeauty lovers pile on the serums and add in as much moisturizer as their skin needs. There is no lie that our skin will drink anything you put on because who wants dry skin, anyway? Nobody. That being said, when warmer weather comes, we all want to limit ourselves especially those with combination skin when it comes to moisturizers. I mean, overly moisturizing your skin during warm weathers and having a combination-oily skin is not a good mix. You’ll become an oily mess and it isn’t even past noon!

Final Thoughts:

This serum is overly moisturizing! Perfect for those who have dry skin. As for me, I incorporate it twice a week. When I was starting to incorporate this, I didn’t pay attention to how moisturizing it is. I finally realized when I was out the entire day. I haven’t gotten really oily in a while, but when I used this continuously, I was an oily mess by noon. Not a way to go. The scent is still something you have to get used to. It’s a bit weird since it smells like milk that’s about to expire. Yuck! Though it is a nice serum to use. I’d strongly recommend this to those who have dry skin. You can use it at minimum when you have oily skin, but it’s highly moisturizing. I’ll keep incorporating this into my routine or even save it until winter comes around. For now, while the warmer weather is upon us, I think it is best for me to skip it. My skin doesn’t really need a whole lot of moisture when I, myself, am a combination skin type.

I want to give BBCosmetic a huge shoutout and a big thank you for supplying me products to review! It has been a pleasure and I look forward to definitely reviewing more products with your company!

‘Till next time,
